It features a .223 wylde chamber that is optimized to deliver excellent performance from both military 5.56x45mm nato and civilian .223 remington ammunition, including long, heavy (up to 80 grain) target bullets. Aero put a longer gas tube on the m4e1 .223 wylde assembled rifle receiver to slow down gas velocity for gentler cycling that leads to improved reliability and reduced wear on moving parts and the receiver.
