The modular optic system, mos for short, slide enables you to easily install a red dot reflex sight on your glock 17, while retaining the use of "iron" sights on your pistol if you choose. This is the fastest, easiest way to convert your g17 to a reflex optic and ensure full compatibility with your pistol's frame and fire control system without gunsmith tweaking. The g17 gen4 mos slide assembly comes with a slot machined in the top to accept the red dot sight. Interchangeable adapters fit into the slot and allow you mfg: glock.
