Technical data & information: The zhukov-u hand guard is a shortened version of magpul's original zhukov hand guard for use on short-barreled ak rifles and pistols. Like the original, the zhukhov-u hand guard replaces the small, skinny wood factory guard to give you a large, comfortable gripping surface thats compatible with modern shooting techniques. An internal aluminum chassis clamps directly to the barrel for a solid flex-free installation and excellent barrel heat dispersion, while the comfortable injection molded exterior gives superior ergonomics. The zhukov-u hand guard is compatible with the ultimak gas tube rail for optics. It also allows you to retain use of the military-issue cleaning rod (unl mfg: magpul.
