These snouts are of thee same design as the snouts on our solid delrin one-piece rod guides. Currently available in selected cartridge family sizes (both short and long action) for our .17 thru .25 caliber and 6.5mm thru .30 caliber all-purpose rod guides. Technical data & information: The tcs ar-15 bore guide may be the single most important cleaning tool for preserving the long term accuracy of your firearm. This tool keeps the cleaning rod perfectly straight so that it can not make contact with the sides of your barrel. To use this tool, simply remove the upper of your ar-15 style rifle and then pull the charging handle back and remove the bolt carrier group. Insert the bore guide into the upper, where the bolt carrier group would normally go. Center a patch treated with tcs bore paste on the back of the bore guide. Using a tcs bore jag on a tcs rod, press the patch through the bore guide and into the bore. Repeat with tcs solvent. This mfg: tcs. Technical data & information: The o-rings on your sinclair bore guides, snouts for sinclair all purpose rod guides, solvent ports and chamber plugs should be replaced occasionally because solvents and use eventually wear them out. We use three sizes of o-rings only, so having some spares on hand is not expensive. The 222 and 223 family of guides and the 17 caliber guides do require the o-ring installation tool included in the o-ring kits. The two larger size o-rings can be installed fairly easily without the tool, though the kits include the tool for almost no additional charge over the 10 o-rings.
