Technical data & information: Novak takes the 1911 safety a step further with streamlined styling and several operating enhancements. A re-designed detent enables extremely positive engagement and helps hold the plunger tube against the frame to keep it from working loose. The right-hand paddle on the ambidextrous model is keyed and pinned to the shaft to prevent flex and eliminate the need for the grip to hold the right lever in place. It also permits a much slimmer paddle that works with any grip, including lasergrips. Completely "carry beveled" with all sharp edges removed for shooter comfort and control. Technical data & information: Harrison design extreme service beavertail grip safeties are cnc machined from bar stock, either stainless or carbon steel and are engineered to allow the craftsman to create that "hairline" joint beavertail installation that everyone wants. Dimensions are left oversize in the critical places, such as in the width of the center lug of the beavertail that fits between the frame tangs, eliminating the need to weld in between the frame tangs in the majority of cases. The side to side dimension of the 'tail is also left oversize to allow fitting flush with the flats of the frame.
