V seven uses a plasma deposition finishing process that gives each magnesium hyper-light keymod handguard a tough, ceramic-like coating with wear resistance far superior to traditional anodizing. The weight-saving extends to the included barrel nut, which is machined from 7068 aluminum alloy that's light yet does not sacrifice strength. Light, light, light! 15" handguard weight only 5.4 oz.
