The inline picatinny mount is especially useful on handguards that have a 45-degree mounting surface by allowing you to use that 45-degree position in the most effective manner. Arisaka has built five positions into the mount allowing you to center the picatinny rail or offset it up to .024" to either side to clear a rail or accessories mounted nearby.
