Technical data & information: Machined delrin rod guide ensures correct alignment of the rod and prevents the rod from contacting the barrel walls and possibly causing damage. In use, the guide slips onto the cleaning rod before installing the brush or mop, then it's inserted into the chamber end along with the tip of the rod. Safe to use with cleaning solvents or lubricants, and cannot scratch or mar the chamber in any way. Models available to fit 12, 20, and 28 gauge, plus .410 bore. The extended 12 gauge guide has an extra 5" of length and is used for semi-auto and pump gun barrels with long extensions. Mfg: brownells specs: delrin, white. Technical data & information: Our two-piece bore guide system helps the shooter get the best possible alignment of the cleaning rod to the bore by using a guide within a guide. The guide body goes into the action and seals the chamber with an o-ring, like a traditional bore guide. A separate guide slides into the rear of the guide body to provide a slip fit for the cleaning rod. The tight-fitting, 8" insert prevents the rod from flexing and keeps it centered, so it will not contact the rifling while you clean. Technical data & information: The o-rings on your sinclair bore guides, snouts for sinclair all purpose rod guides, solvent ports and chamber plugs should be replaced occasionally because solvents and use eventually wear them out. We use three sizes of o-rings only, so having some spares on hand is not expensive. The 222 and 223 family of guides and the 17 caliber guides do require the o-ring installation tool included in the o-ring kits. The two larger size o-rings can be installed fairly easily without the tool, though the kits include the tool for almost no additional charge over the 10 o-rings.
